cyberbulling

  1. Nearly 42% of kids have been bullied online and almost one in four have had it happen more than once.
  2. Among this percentage, being ignored and disrespected were the most common forms of cyber bullying.
  3. Nine out of ten middle school students have had their feelings hurt online.
  4. About 75% have visited a Web site bashing another student.
  5. Four out of ten middle school students have had their password(s) stolen and changed by a bully who then locked them out of their own account or sent communications posing as them.
  6. About 21% of kids have received mean or threatening e-mails.
  7. The psychological and emotional outcomes of cyber bullying are similar to real-life bullying outcomes, except for the reality that with cyber bullying there is often no escape. School ends at 3 p.m., while the Internet is available all the time.
  8. The primary cyber bullying location where victimizing occurs, at 56%, is in chat rooms.
  9. Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims and perpetrators of cyber bullying.
  10. About 58% of kids admit someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online. More than four out of ten say it has happened more than once.
  11. Cyber bullying has increased in recent years. In a national survey of 10-17 year olds, twice as many children indicated they had been victims and perpetrators.

                                        Celebrities being a Hero
Megan fox is a hero because she donates money to charity, serves her community, helps those in need.
First reason why Megan Fox is a hero is because she donates money to charity. When Megan Fox did the music video with Eminem she donated all of her paycheck to charity. She donated to a charity that helps abused womans. Donating money to charity is what heros do because they are helping others. Megan Fox donated money so that is one thing that makes Megan Fox.
Next reason why Megan Fox is a hero is because she serves her community. Megan Fox serves her community because she is on movies and that is what people want her to do. So when Megan Fox is on movies she is serving her community. Megan Fox also is considered a hero because she serves her community and that is exactly what Megan Fox is doing.
Last reason why Megan Fox is a hero is because she helps others in need. Megan Fox helps other people for example when she donated money to charity. That was a great example of a hero because she is helping other people who are really in need. So when Megan Fox donated money to charity it was great because she is helping in need by donating money to them.
So this essay was about Megan Fox because she is a great example of a hero because She donates money to charity, serves her community, helps those in need. She is a hero because she donated money to charity. She is a hero because she serves her community by listening to people request. Also she is a hero because she helps those who are really in need.

    Investigation Refliction

    Design Brief
    10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.10. I am going to make a flip book and I'm making it for the 6th graders so they can know about the design cycle.
    Formulate a Design Specification
    11. What are the requirements for this assignment? 11. I have to follow every step in order if not I will mess up and it will suck.
    12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?12. We only have a certain amount of time also we have to work on it every time we come to the computer lab.
    13. How will you "test" your project?
    13. I will show the flip book again and I will ask them questions about the design cycle.

    Test Specifications:

    • Teach the MYP
    • Make sense
    • Able to teach others about the MYP
    • Has to be 2 minutes long at least
    • Show the flip book twice
    • Be able to answer every question that is asked
    • Must not be to long and to short
    • Simple to understand
    • A minimum of 4 students
    TEST

The way that I will test the students if they payed  attention is by giving them a test of 10 questions. They must get an 80 or higher in order to pass. If they get a lower grade they will have to see the flip book once again.

    Refliction

I will give myself a 1-2 because I collected some info but not as much as we need. Also  I stated my problem I also listed some specification points. So this is why I would rate myself a 1-2.

    Comic Master

I gave myself a 8 in simplicity cause its easy. I gave myself an 5 in themes because it harder to do it there. And I gave myself a 1 in music cause that is also harder.

    Flipbook

I graded myself for the flip book. For simplicity I gave myself a 10 because its really easy to do that. For themes I gave myself a 6 because its not that easy and not that hard in the same time. For the music I gave myself a 1 because I think it hard to put music into a flip book.

    Day 2 Investigation Reflection

Today I decided to do a flip book. This will help the 6th graders understand the design cycle more easily. I think there is more than one way to teach the 6th graders about the design cycle but I think the easiest way is to make a flip book. The flip book is like making a comic book and 6th graders like to read comic books so they will like the flip book. I think that the 6th graders will enjoy the flip book because I even enjoyed it myself.

Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
    1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
    2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world?
    3. How will this project serve my community?
    4. How can my learning help my community?
    5. How do we live in relation to each other?
    6. How does this help others?
    7. What are the requirements for this assignment?
    8. What is the Design Cycle?
    REFLECT on your learning.
    Day 2
    9. Spend one day experimenting with DESIGN CYCLE your presentation. List five things your learned about the Design Cycle:
    Day 3
    Design Brief
    10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.
    Formulate a Design Specification
    11. What are the requirements for this assignment?
    12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?
    13. How will you "test" your presentation?
    REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
    PLAN:
    14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
    15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
    16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
    17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
    18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
    REFLECT on your learning
    EVALUATE:
    20. How could you improve your presentation?
    21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
    22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
    23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
    24. Were you responsible in using the software, Internet, pictures, and computer?
    25. How can my learning help my community?
    26. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6)

    ATTITUDE:
    27. Reflect on your attitude on each step of the Design Cycle. Did you completely answer each step without complaining, being a whiny baby, or saying "it's too hard". Explain your answer:
    28. What grade do you deserve on your attitude? (1 - 6)
